Stocks Hotel - Sark

Sark tourism was around the corner. A good choice for exploring Sark. The hotel met requirements.

We had a great time here, enjoying delicious food and the company of friendly people; everything we needed for a vacation was available, and the location was convenient, just a short walk away from the main street.

The hole atmosphere of the hotel was superb. We were made to feel right at home from the moment we checked in and felt "special" by the whole staff during our stay. The restaurant we used for our half board produced excellent food and the service could not be faulted. Our room (107) was not huge but gave the impression of plenty of space. The bathroom could only be described as luxurious. We truly did not want to leave after our fantastic 4 night stay at Stocks.

Recent refurbishment whilst tastefuly done utilised poor quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings. One meal we had in the Bistro appeared to comprise of high street frozen products and was extremely poor in taste, quality and value. This contrasted to a meal we had in the restaurant which was excellent.

The hotel is absolutely spotless, the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the great atmosphere that the hotel had. The food was lovely too.

We had a one night stay at this lovely hotel. It is nestled in a tranquil valley which makes it very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were all professional, yet friendly and welcoming. The double room suite was cosy, comfortable and luxurious. The food was excellent and we loved the bar for a nightcap after dinner. It is not a cheap option but we would defintely recommend it.

The staff were so helpful and welcoming, and our entire stay was just magical. I would thoroughly recommend a weekend away at Stocks Hotel.

Relaxed atmosphere was great. Room (suite) was fantastic and surroundings are amazing. Very peaceful.

Not a complaint but although service was good, it was very slow (I.E. 20 minutes to get a drink when order taken a table for lunch). It was busy but though that 20 mins was too long for a hotel of this quality.

We knew the old Stocks from way back, from family holidays. The new Stocks is great with every comfort and still full of happy memories - the dinners were truly excellent

It is difficult to pick any one thing that best, our room was clean and excellently appointed, the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful, the food in both restaurants was superb. If you want a quiet stress free holiday or short break I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was charming, Staff friendly and efficient, and food excellent. The sun even shone both days, which was a bonus. We were cellebrating our golden wedding with our family, and we all enjoyed it immensly. Thank you.

The duvets were too warm for this time of the year, a lighter weight would be more suitable. Otherwise cannot fault it.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.The facilities for young children,even on a rainy day, were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and dining arrangements were very flexible, with relaxed family eating in the Bistro or more adult dining in the restaurant, both providing excellent locally sourced food.

The hotel was relaxing very up to date quiet and very friendly will be going back next year.

The only thing that was not so good was the towel rail in the rooms were not electric as the weather is not guaranteed our towels were damp through our stay, however I suppose we could have requested fresh ones.

Beautiful location , stunning building which has been sympathetically renovated and great swimming pool for the kids!

Food took over an hour to arrive on the first night, in the morning my cooked breakfast took an hour to come after the rest of the family had been served. On the second night we were told that the bistro was shut as they had run out of food and the restaurant was full so we'd have to go elsewhere to eat! Not easy when you have 3 children asleep in the hotel ! On the third day whilst sat round the pool I tried to order a coffee from the bistro and was told that they couldn't serve me before 10am. When I pointed out that it was 9.50 - the girl replied ' well that's the rule I'm afraid'

Beautiful surroundings, newly refurbished rooms to a very high standard and staff very helpful. We didn't have evening meal there but the breakfast was first class and beautifully presented .
